MEET OUR LEADERS
Elder Patrick P. Foster is the Founder and Pastor of Abundant Grace Fellowship Ministries COGIC in Richmond, CA. He is happily married to First Lady Inez Foster and has two sons, Jerry and Daylen.
Pastor Foster accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age as a member of Independent Holiness Church, under the Leadership of Pastor Tommie Bradford. He was active in all areas of the Youth Department including the choir and often played the role of the preacher in church skits. As he approached his teens, he began bringing short talks on Youth Sundays. Upon sensing the call of God upon his life, Pastor Foster began to delve into the word of God. He answered the call to ministry and began preaching.
The year 2000 would prove to be a pivotal year as Pastor Foster would join the Prison Ministry where he would share the word of God with the West Contra County inmates. Pastor Foster became a Licensed Minister in 2002.
Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Foster served under the Leadership of Dr. Claybon Lea Jr. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in 2005. He began to develop leadership skills by orchestrating an over 100 men retreat and was appointed as an Associate Minister. He was ordained as an Elder in 2008.
In late September 2009, Pastor Foster was impelled by God to start “A Church Where Love Abides.” This church would become a life center, a central location where people of all walks of life can receive everything they are in need of—physically and most importantly spiritually. Following the instruction of God and the counsel of Superintendent Yahaan Hunter, Abundant Grace Fellowship Ministries COGIC was established.
The Grace of God is evident upon Pastor Foster’s leadership, as lives are being restored and families are returning to church on a weekly basis. In less than a year, Abundant Grace Fellowship Ministries has been blessed with over 130 members. On any given Sunday, Pastor Foster can be heard saying, “I have an assignment from God and I won’t let anything distract me. We are Pastor and People, and People and Pastor.”
